Job summary

Shawnee Health in Carbondale, IL is seeking an OB/GYN physician to join a small group providing comprehensive women’s health care. You will perform office visits, procedures, and inpatient rounds at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, including robotic gynecologic surgeries with the da Vinci system.

Qualifications include Illinois medical license, a controlled substances license, and Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR).
• Commitment to Shawnee Health mission and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Office consultations and office-based procedures.
• Inpatient rounding at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

• Call schedule including one night and one weekend in five.

Position Overview

• Join a close-knit group of 1 Physician & 5 Nurse Midwives
• Call schedule of 1 night and 1/5 weekends
• Call sharing with a group of 5 physicians
• Integrated behavioral health services, care coordination, and case management on site

• Shawnee Health offers 280 hours for full time practitioners for each full fiscal year of employment for vacations, holidays, sick leave, continuing education or other absences from the practice. At the end of any employment year, a portion of unused Leave days may be carried forward to the next year or you may opt to take the cash value of the unused Leave days.
• Productivity Incentives: Shawnee offers select physicians, dentists, and midlevel practitioners’ merit and productivity incentives based negotiated contractual terms related to net collections and/or total encounters.
• Merit Bonus: Shawnee offers select physicians, dentists, and midlevel practitioners’ productivity incentives based on negotiated criteria.
• Continuing Education (CE) Allocation: physicians, dentists, and midlevel practitioners receive an annual CE allocation.
