Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a licensed physician in South Carolina to provide professional medical care to patients within our network. The role includes outpatient care in offices and inpatient care at the hospital, with call coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical care to Group's patients per standards and policies.
• Provide call coverage for the Office(s) as scheduled.
• Provide uncompensated ED call coverage for the Hospital(s) monthly as required.
• Provide outpatient care in offices and inpatient care at the hospital.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per Group policies.
• Promote the group's professional practice within legal and ethical guidelines.
• Attend to administrative duties as required.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to maintain and improve skills.
• Participate in marketing/public relations as needed.

Job Summary: Physician's duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide professional medical care to Group's patients in accordance with the professional standards of care, quality and practice controls and policies as adopted from time to time by Group and as required by law.
• Provide call coverage for the Office(s) as scheduled by Group.
• Provide uncompensated days of emergency department call coverage for the Hospital(s) per month, consistent with the Medical Staff Bylaws and by speciality.
• Provide outpatient care in the Offices and inpatient care at the Hospital to patients.
• Perform the particular duties assigned by Group from time to time.
• Keep and maintain appropriate records, reports, claims and correspondence necessary and appropriate in connection with all professional services Physician renders under employment and as required by Group policies and procedures in effect from time to time. This includes, but is not limited to, the policy on documentation and timely completion of practice based medical records that is in effect from time to time. All such records, reports, claims and correspondence belong to Group.
• Promote Group's professional practice to the extent permitted by law and the applicable canons of professional ethics.
• Attend to the administrative duties of the Group's professional practice to the extent required by Group's policies.
• Perform all acts reasonably necessary to maintain and improve Physician's professional skills.
• Participate in marketing/public relations of his/her duties such as speaking engagements, newspaper interviews, etc. as required by Group from time to time.
