Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a physician to provide medical care to patients in the Aiken region, affiliated with Aiken Physicians Alliance and Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The role includes outpatient during office hours and inpatient hospital care, with scheduled call coverage and administrative responsibilities as part of the group.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical care to Group's patients in accordance with professional standards and policies.
• Provide call coverage for the Office(s) as scheduled by Group.
• Provide uncompensated days of emergency department call coverage for the Hospital(s) per month, consistent with bylaws and by specialty.
• Provide outpatient care in the Offices and inpatient care at the Hospital to patients.
• Perform all duties assigned by Group from time to time.
• Maintain records, reports, claims and correspondence as required by Group policies and procedures.
• Promote Group's professional practice within legal and ethical canons.
• Attend to administrative duties as required by Group's policies.
• Maintain and improve physicians' professional skills.
• Participate in marketing/public relations activities as required.

Job Summary duties include but are not limitied to the following:

• Provide professional medical care to Group's patients in accordance with the professional standards of care, quality and practice controls and poliicies as adopted from time to time by Group and as required by law.
• Provide call coverage for the Office(s) as scheduled by Group
• Provide uncompensated days of emergency department call coverage for the Hospital(s) per month, consistent with the Medical Staff Bylaws and by speciality.
• Provide outpatient care in the Offices and inpatient care at the Hospital to patients.
• Perform the particular duties assigned by Group from time to time.
• Keep and maintain appropriate records, reports, claims and correspondence necessary and appropriate in connection with all professional services Physician renders under employment and as required by Group policies and prodecures in effect from tiem tto time. This includes, but is not limited to, the policy on documentation and timely completion of practice based medical records that is in effect from time to time. All such recrods, reports, claims and correspondence belong to Group.
• Promote Group's professional practice to the extent permitted by law and the applicable canons of professional ethics.
• Attend to the administrative duties of the Group's professional pratctice to the extend required by Group's policies.
• Perform all acts reasonably necessary to maintain and improve Physician's professional skills.
• Participate in marketing/public relations of his/her duties such as speaking engagemetns, newspaper interviews, etc. as required by GRoup from time to time.
