As a fully remote Physician Coding Surgical Pediatric Senior Coder, you will code Surgical procedures for the Pediatric team, focusing on multi-specialties including Surgical. Production expectations depend on the type of coding: straight E/M, Procedures, or at least 9 encounters per hour.
This position is available in specific states only, including AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WY.
The hours are flexible within 7am – 7pm, with a requirement of 5 days per week, 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary: Performs complex professional coding for physician practices by reviewing medical records and ensuring accurate coding according to guidelines. Supports department projects, validation, and training.
Core Functions: Analyzes medical info, codes diagnoses and procedures, consults with providers, abstracts data, ensures compliance, and mentors staff. Works independently, managing priorities, and interpreting complex coding guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, specialized training or associate’s degree, certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT), 5+ years of complex coding experience, and ability to work remotely with proficiency in office and coding systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) or other specialty certifications.
