Consider joining our Physician Practice Coding team! We have an experienced team with little turnover, supporting each other positively. We code for multiple specialties, including cross-training. Banner Health is a leading nonprofit healthcare system.

Position Summary: Fully remote Pediatric Surgical Coder. Coding surgical procedures, with production expectations based on the type of coding (straight E/M, Procedures, or at least 9 encounters/hour).

Key Details:

• Location: Remote (states listed in the description)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, flexible within 7am-7pm
• Ideal Candidate: 3-5 years surgical coding experience
• Requirements: 5+ years coding experience, certification through AHIMA or AAPC

This role offers flexibility and is ideal for experienced coders in eligible states. You will work independently, managing your workload, and supporting team training and discussions. Responsibilities include accurate coding, documentation review, quality assurance, and mentoring.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT), 5+ years of complex coding experience, knowledge of ICD and CPT, ability to work remotely, attention to detail, critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Radiology Certified Coder (RCC), specialty coding certifications.
