Position: Fully remote Physician Coding Surgical Pediatric Senior Coder. You will code Surgical procedures for the Pediatric team, focusing on multi-specialties including Surgical. Production expectations depend on the coding task, such as straight E/M, Procedures, or a minimum of 9 encounters per hour.

• Location: Remote
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Ideal Candidate: 3-5 years Surgical coding experience
• Requirements: 5 years of coding experience and certification through AHIMA or AAPC

This position is available in select states only. Hours are flexible within 7am-7pm, with a focus on productivity and completing 5 shifts per week.

• Mentor less experienced staff and assist in onboarding new coders.
• Manage work independently, ensuring accurate code assignment and interpretation of guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training or an Associate’s degree in a related health care field.
• Certification through AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT).
• At least 5 years of complex, specialized coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles.
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain high-quality standards in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) or other specialty certifications.
