Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our growing surgical team for an assignment spanning 13 weeks. The surgeon will handle a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures in a high-volume setting, collaborating with cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and ICU staff.

Candidates must hold an active Missouri license (or IMLC), be board-certified or board-eligible, and possess ACLS certification if conscious sedation privileges are

Responsibilities

Description:We are seeking a highly skilled, patient-focused Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our growing, high-volume surgical team.The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, with valuable experience in general thoracic surgery.In this role, you will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensive care specialists to provide exceptional, comprehensive operative care.While the primary focus of this position is advanced cardiovascular surgery, the ability to manage and perform essential thoracic interventions is highly beneficial to meet our community's diverse clinical needs.Coverage is needed from December 18 to January 2, 3, or even January 8 for cardiac and associated skills whether thoracic or vascular.If there is a candidate that cannot cover the entire stretch, coverage until January 2 is acceptable.In 2027, there will be an ongoing need for 1 to 2 weeks per month.Preference will be given to candidates who are within driving distance, have no malpractice history, and are able to commit to 1 to 2 weeks per month in 2027.The average workday could extend beyond 8 hours during the week depending on scheduled surgeries, which may vary.On weekends, unless performing an urgent or emergent procedure, rounding on patients with the APP team is expected.There is an excellent APP support team that assists physicians during hospital rounds.In the operating room, first assists are utilized instead of PAs or NPs who harvest vein.This position is located in a facility with three dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid room equipped with advanced technology.The current procedure volume includes approximately 130 CABG surgeries annually, with similar TAVR volume.We are transitioning to an electronic medical record system for enhanced efficiency and care coordination.An interview is required for this position.Multiple providers will be accepted for consideration.
