Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiovascular/ Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum-tenens coverage in Joplin, Missouri.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, with general thoracic surgery experience highly valued. This assignment offers ongoing 2027 need of 1–2 weeks per month, a daily rate of $6,900, and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Missouri license or IMLC; IMLC candidates acceptable if Missouri license obtained before start date.
• ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges.
• Flu vaccination or qualifying exemption; COVID vaccination or qualifying exemption.

Responsibilities

• Adult cardiovascular surgery and cardiac/vascular procedures.
• Inpatient rounding and operative care for cardiovascular patients.
• Collaborate with cardiology, pulmonology, oncology and critical care teams.
• General thoracic surgery and interventions as needed based on experience.

We are seeking a Board Certified orBoard Eligible Cardiovascular/ Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locumtenens coverage in Joplin, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have extensiveexperience across a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures,with general thoracic surgery experience highly valued.

This is an excellent opportunity tojoin a multidisciplinary team and provide comprehensive operative care to adiverse community patient population.

Position Highlights

• InitialCoverage: December 18, 2026 at 7:00 AM through January 2, 3, or potentiallyJanuary 8, 2027
• Candidatesunable to cover the entire assignment may be considered through January2
• Ongoing 2027Need: 1–2 weeks per month
• Preference for candidates:
  • Within drivingdistance
  • With nomalpractice history
  • Able to committo 1–2 weeks per month throughout 2027
• Daily Rate: $6,900/day,all-inclusive, excluding malpractice and travel/lodging
• Malpractice: $200/day
• Holiday Rate: 1.5x
• AverageWorkday: 6–8 hours
• Annual CABGVolume: Approximately 130 cases
• TAVR Volume: Similar toCABG volume

Requirements

• Board Certifiedor Board Eligible in Cardiovascular/ Cardiothoracic Surgery
• For BoardEligible physicians, certification must be obtained within 5 years ofresidency
• Active Missourimedical license or IMLC
• IMLC candidatesare acceptable if they can obtain a Missouri license before the start date
• No minimumyears of experience required
