Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC in Joplin, MO is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our clinical team. Coverage is clinical + call with shifts starting at 7am and typically 6–8 hours per shift.

The incumbent will perform a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, coordinate with cardiology, pulmonary, oncology and ICU teams, and participate in open shifts from Dec 18 through early January; Epic is the EMR.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular surgery.
• ACLS certification required.
• Active Missouri license or IMLC eligibility needed.
• Extensive experience in adult cardiac and vascular surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert operative care in adult cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiology, pulmonology, oncology and ICU teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Possess thoracic skills to address essential thoracic interventions as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, with valuable experience in general thoracic surgery; Will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensive care specialists to provide exceptional, comprehensive operative care. While the primary focus of this position is advanced cardiovascular surgery, the ability to manage and perform essential thoracic interventions is highly beneficial to meet our community's diverse clinical needs.
