Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced Physician to join a Cardiothoracic surgery team in Michigan. The assignment runs 13 weeks, primarily days, with night call and weekday coverage Monday through Friday. No weekend duty.

The position requires board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, an active Michigan license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Travel and lodging support are provided as per standard rates.

Responsibilities

• Cover Cardiothoracic surgery duties for a 13-week assignment.
• Perform Adult Cardiac Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery procedures (CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracostomy, mediastinal surgery).
• Work a hospital-based schedule with weekday coverage and night call; no weekend duty.

Description:An experienced Physician is needed to join a Cardiothoracic surgery team.Coverage is required for a minimum of three weeks, Monday to Friday, with night call and no weekend duty.The practice setting is hospital-based, and the position requires working independently.The procedures include Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy), Thoracotomy Decortication, and Mediastinal Surgery.The available resources include two dedicated Cardiovascular Surgery ORs during daytime hours.The patient population is adult, with an average volume of approximately one case per weekend.This position includes night call only.Additional weekend call is not required.Travel and expenses, including flight, hotel, rental car, or mileage, will be covered as per standard rates.
