This position involves providing consultation and ongoing care for various cardiovascular diseases, including diagnosis and treatment in inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings. The role is based at the Minneapolis VAHCS.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing cardiology consultative and continuity care services, including virtual care for underserved facilities.
• Participating in telehealth initiatives to improve access to cardiology care.
• Managing referrals and follow-up for cardiology consults.
• Offering expert cardiology consultation to healthcare teams.
• Performing and interpreting cardiac studies such as EKGs, stress tests, Echo, Holter monitors, and more.
• Assessing and managing inpatient and outpatient care, documenting thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Collaborating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Promoting health education and disease prevention.
