Job description

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible EP Cardiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track.

The incoming physician will work closely with the Cardiovascular Division and Electrophysiology Section leadership to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions.

Practice Highlights:

• Well-established nationally and internationally recognized Electrophysiology program.
• The position will be dedicated to both clinical and academic efforts, with a primary focus on clinical work.
• Clinical efforts include electrophysiology lab interventions, hospital services, and clinics.
• The Electrophysiology Fellowship Program Director role may be considered based on experience and interests.
• The program is active in standard and complex procedural care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of 28 Cardiologists (including 3 Electrophysiologists) and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (including 3.5 EP-dedicated).
• Strong referral base.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in general clinical cardiology, with advanced training and experience in electrophysiology evaluation and patient care management.
• Proven success in research publication and mentorship.
• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and/or fellowship-training program.
• Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
• Licensed or able to obtain medical license and DEA in Minnesota, and meet credentialing and privileges requirements.
• Ability to secure work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status under VISA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with externally funded grants, large clinical research trials, and supporting postgraduate fellowship training.
• Evidence of leadership in clinical program development and national EP leadership or service.

Pay and Benefits:

We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

• Full-time salary range: $379,053 - $677,365, commensurate with experience, with potential incentive components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
• Robust benefits supporting physical, mental, and financial health, including medical, dental, vision, 401K contributions, flexible time off, well-being programs, CME allowance, and insurance coverage.
• As a 501(c)(3) organization, eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
