Job summary

Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID seeks a seasoned Coding Supervisor to oversee billing and coding activities in a primarily virtual setting or at the hospital site as needed. The role requires strong leadership, policy compliance, and the ability to train staff while ensuring coding accuracy and regulatory adherence.

You will guide the coding team, respond to inquiries, and help develop policies, while tracking metrics and promoting certified staffing.

Qualifications

• AHIMA-accredited degree required (Assoc. or Bachelors).
• Five years in relevant field with one year supervisory experience.
• CCS or CPC certification preferred as part of professional credentials.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA compliance and 100% patient confidentiality in e-PHI.
• Support coding team with inquiries for timely resolution.
• Maintain coding accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Develop reports and data for clinical evaluation, fiscal impact, and profitability.
• Track performance metrics such as accuracy, productivity, and turnaround times.
• Train new and existing staff on coding standards and updates.
• Stay current with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and related regulations.
