Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of physician billing and AR processes.
• Understanding of PPO/POS/HMO, Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience with denials, appeals, and follow-up.
• Ability to navigate payer portals and EPIC.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines in high-volume environment.
• Team-oriented with continuous learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Learn EPIC Physician Billing system and complete tasks.
• Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity while maintaining accuracy.
• Track submitted appeals and follow up on deferred claims.
• Document all collection activity clearly for each patient account.
• Coordinate with payers via portals or phone to process claims.
• Participate in educational programs and team discussions.
• Collaborate with team to resolve claim issues efficiently.
• Support special collection projects as assigned.
• Seek information from managers and departments as needed.
• Proactively learn and improve billing skills.
