Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a Collector for Physician Billing to manage payer accounts, follow up on denials, and support accurate reimbursement. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork within the CC209041 Physician Billing department.

The candidate should be proficient in EPIC, understand managed care plans, and communicate effectively with both payers and patients. This remote-friendly role supports our Miami Beach operations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent level of experience.
• Knowledge of managed care benefits (PPO/POS/HMO, Medicare and Medicaid).
• Experience with claim denials, appeals, insurance follow-up, and reimbursement resolution.
• Ability to navigate payer portals and billing systems, preferably EPIC.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn EPIC Physician Billing system to successfully complete assignments.
• Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and accuracy.
• Work claims queues to resolve issues and identify denied claims needing appeals.
• Track submitted appeals and follow up on deferred claims.
• Document all collection activity clearly in patient accounts.
