Job summary

St. John's University in Queens, NY seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor to join the Master of Science in Physician Assistant program.

The candidate will work with PA colleagues, maintain clinical practice competence, and pursue scholarship while contributing to faculty governance. Requirements include ARC-PA accreditation, NCCPA certification, NY licensure, and at least three years of clinical PA experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
• Master's degree or higher in PA-related field.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current NYS licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of three years clinical PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, application review, and selection for admission.
• Coordinate and instruct didactic and clinical PA students.
• Evaluate student performance and provide remediation.
• Advise and counsel students.
• Serve on program, department, and university committees.
• Contribute to accreditation activities per ARC-PA standards.
• Develop clinical site affiliations and perform site visits.
• Assist in scheduling and evaluating clinical rotations; communicate with sites.
• Engage in active service, research, and scholarship.
