Job summary

LIU Brooklyn invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track assistant/associate professor to teach in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. The twelve-month position requires a 24-credit annual teaching workload, including didactic and clinical year instruction, student advisement, remediation, and retention.

Qualifications

• NCCPA-certified PA with NY licensure or NY licensure eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years clinical PA experience.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and clinical year students (lectures, labs, small groups).
• Provide remediation to support student success.
• Review and update PA syllabi and curricula.
• Advise students in didactic and clinical years.
• Collaborate with PA and university faculty/administration.
• Participate in clinical site visits as needed.
• Engage in recruitment and retention activities.
• Promote the PA program and profession to prospective students.
