Zusammenfassung

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Licensed Physician Assistant for the Surgical Specialty - Non-Operative. You will render direct patient care with delegated prescriptive authority and operate under the supervising physician’s scope.

This role covers adult and pediatric patients across General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and related fields. Provide comprehensive exams, diagnostics, treatment plans, patient education, and referrals as needed in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold active Texas PA license and NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Assess patient physical and mental condition through exams and medical histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe or recommend medical therapies per supervising physician.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Counsel patients and families about medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes; initiate referrals when needed.
• Provide consultation level services for conditions related to specialty.
• Manage patients in inpatient/outpatient settings as required.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice as delegated by supervising physician.
• Follow-up pre- and post-operatively; possible hospital rounds.
