University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Physician Assistant to assist physicians in all outpatient, inpatient and peri-operative patient care. The role includes first assist duties in surgery, comprehensive histories, minor procedures, and ordering labs and imaging.

The PA will educate patients, provide emergency care, and facilitate referrals. Requirements include a Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS, and ability to obtain an NPI number; a Master's from an accredited PA

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program.
• 1 year of experience as Physician Assistant preferred.
• Texas PA license.
• NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• DEA, DPS numbers and ability to obtain an NPI number.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians in patient care across outpatient, inpatient and peri-operative settings.
• Perform first assist duties in surgery and perform histories, physical exams, and diagnoses.
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies.
• Educate and counsel patients; provide emergency care.
• Facilitate patient referrals to appropriate physicians or agencies.
