Job summary

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) by NCCPA required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA required
• Clinical specialty certification determined by department required
• Proficient with medical and surgical instruments and equipment

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced medical care to patients in a surgical setting under supervision of a surgeon
• Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and perioperative management
• Performs delegated minor surgical procedures
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests; monitors patient progress
• Documents care and supports clinical decision-making and emergencies
• Assists physicians in therapeutic decisions and patient education
