The University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Physician Assistant to assist physicians in all outpatient, inpatient and peri-operative care. You will perform first assist duties in surgery, order and interpret labs and imaging, educate patients and render emergency care.
Requirements include a Master's degree in PA, Texas license, NCCPA certification, current BLS, and ability to obtain an NPI number; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. One year of experience is preferred.
The Physician Assistant assists the physicians in the global management of patient care in all outpatient, inpatient and peri-operative settings. Performs first assist duties in surgery, comprehensive and problem-focused histories, minor surgical procedures, diagnosis and treats illnesses and injuries, orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic studies, educates and counsels patients, renders emergency care, and facilitates patient referrals to the appropriate physician or agency.
