Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset seeks a Physician Assistant for the PreOP PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will provide comprehensive medical care, coordinate therapies, and exercise delegated duties under supervision of physicians.

Minimum qualifications include a BA-PA, NYS PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on privileges. NYU Langone Health offers an extensive benefits package and a commitment to education and research.

Qualifications

• To qualify, you must have a Physician Assistant Bachelor's Degree (BA-PA).
• Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
• NCCPA Board Certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission and standards of the institution and clinical service.
• Educates patients and families to facilitate healthy adjustment.
• Evaluates treatment plans and modifies per clinical standards.
• Prescribes medications and therapies per practice protocol.
• Works collaboratively with nursing and other disciplines in care delivery.
• Maintains PA board certification and CME requirements.
