Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Patient Support Assistant for Manhasset Preop/PACU. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, supporting clinical operations in the ASC setting and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for surgical teams.

Minimum qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Competencies include English proficiency and effective interprofessional communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
• Monitor vital signs and track intake/output; report abnormalities to RN.
• Conduct patient rounds to address comfort, safety, and personal needs; respond to call lights promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient preparation.
