Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks a Physician Assistant - Pre-Anesthesia for NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in Brooklyn, a Level I Trauma Center. The role conducts pre-anesthesia assessments, orders labs, reviews tests, and coordinates pre-procedural clearance.

Base salary $131,127–$174,836 yearly; total compensation up to $192,319. Benefits include CME reimbursement, 401(k) contributions, PTO, health/dental coverage, life/AD&D, malpractice coverage, FSAs, and commuter

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history and physical exams.
• Order and review labs, EKGs, imaging, and other pre-procedural testing.
• Perform medication reconciliation and make appropriate medication adjustments.
• Identify clinical concerns and coordinate specialist consultations, medical optimization, and pre-procedural clearance.
• Provide patient education, prescriptions, and pre-procedure instructions while coordinating interpreter services, as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team while supporting quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary:$131,127* - $174,836*based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**,which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
