Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Winchester, MA seeks a per-diem Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant to collaborate with obstetricians for safe, high-quality inpatient obstetric care.

You will assist with deliveries, perioperative care, and bedside/surgical procedures while supporting CPOE and EMR workflows. Requirements include Labor & Delivery experience, ARC-PA approved PA program graduation, MA PA license, and BLS/NRP/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA approved PA program.
• MA license as PA in good standing.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and obstetric procedures.
• BLS, NRP (Obstetrics), ACLS (Surgical) certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with obstetricians to provide inpatient care and assist with deliveries.
• Perform obstetrics-related procedures, including episiotomies.
• Provide perioperative care and act as first assistant in the OR.
• Perform bedside and surgical procedures, including drain removal.
• Maintain proficiency in CPOE and EMR systems.
• Ensure patient safety with effective English communication.

Job Details:

• Per-diem position for an independent, licensed Physician Assistant collaborating with specialist physicians to deliver safe, high-quality inpatient care
• Assist Obstetricians with patient care and deliveries
• Perform obstetrics-related procedures, including episiotomies
• Maintain proficiency in CPN
• Provide perioperative care and first assist in the OR
• Perform bedside and surgical procedures, including drain removal
• Maintain proficiency in CPOE
• Must be a graduate of an ARC-PA approved program
• Valid PA License and basic computer skills required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Obstetrics), and ACLS (Surgical)
• Effective English communication skills required for patient safety
• Clinical experience in Labor & Delivery required
