Job summary

Premise Health in Seattle, WA seeks a full-time Physician Assistant (NP) to join our Health Center team. You will provide clinical care to employees and dependents, conduct exams, and develop patient care plans in a busy ambulatory setting.

The role requires NCCPA certification, an ARC-PA accredited degree, and active state licenses; DEA and BLS/ACLS may be required. We offer comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

  • Active state licenses to practice medicine in the appropriate states.
  • Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License if applicable.
  • Current NCCPA national certification required.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice).
  • State narcotic/controlled substance license as required by state law.
  • Basic Life Support required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
  • Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
  • Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
  • Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
  • Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
  • Refer patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
  • Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.
  • Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Physician Assistant (NP), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Seattle, WA. The scheduled hours are 32/hrs a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00am-4:00pm.

What You’ll Do
  • Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
  • Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
  • Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
  • Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
  • Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
  • Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
  • Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
  • Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
  • Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
  • Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
  • Current NCCPA national certification required.
  • Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $130,400.00 - $163,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.

For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise offers the following paid time off benefits. Employees will earn 0.0769 hours of paid time off per actual hours worked or based on standard schedule, per pay period, and will receive 10 paid holidays or an equivalent bank of hours aligned to schedule throughout the calendar year. Paid sick leave is satisfied by the paid time off accrual, detailed above.
