Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant for outpatient leukemia care on the Upper East Side in New York City. The PA will work under a supervising physician within the Clinical Operations unit, providing direct patient care, coordinating care within specialty areas, and contributing to teaching and program activities.

Required: ARC-PA accredited education, NY State PA license, NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Approximately 2 years of work experience in a clinical setting highly desired.
  • New grads may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care and coordination within specialty areas.
  • Evaluate patients with comprehensive health histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Order labs, imaging, and consultations; develop patient care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies per guidelines.
  • Document in medical records and educate patients/caregivers.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other health care providers to improve outcomes.
  • Assist in research protocols and academic program involvement when applicable.
  • Perform applicable diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as delineated.
