Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine on the Upper East Side seeks a Physician Assistant for outpatient breast surgery. You will provide direct patient care under a supervising physician, perform histories and exams, order tests, and develop treatment plans.

Collaboration with surgeons, teaching, and possible involvement in research are key aspects. Requirements include NYS PA license and NCCPA certification; ARC-PA accreditation for education; 3+ years in breast surgery preferred; BLS required, ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Approximately 3+ years of work experience in a breast surgery clinical setting highly desired.
• Current New York State Physician Assistant License & Registration.
• Certification from the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct patient care and coordination within specialty areas.
• Evaluates new and/or established patients by obtaining histories and performs physical examinations as appropriate.
• Orders labs, imaging, diagnostic testing, and consultations; reviews results to develop care plans.
• Prescribes medications and interventions per standard of care.
• Educates patients and caregivers on disease management and prevention.
