Qualifications

  • Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Certification from the NCCPA.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience coordinating clinical protocols is a plus.
  • Clinical teaching/precepting or academic program involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate within specialty areas.
  • Evaluate patients by obtaining comprehensive histories and performing focused exams.
  • Order labs, imaging, diagnostics, and consultations; develop a patient care plan.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions per guidelines.
  • Document in medical records per best practice standards.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and prevention.
  • Collaborate with specialists, attending physicians, residents, APPs, and staff to optimize outcomes.
  • Assist in research protocols when applicable.
  • Perform procedures as delineated by privileges.
  • Obtain informed consent when indicated.
