UPMC HVI Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider Surgical Fellowship Program
University of Pittsburgh Physicians are hiring a Full-time Physician Assistant for the Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) APP Cardiac Surgery Fellowship Program. This 12-month training program will be based at UPMC Passavant with travel to UPMC Presbyterian and Shadyside. The position is Monday to Friday, daylight hours.
The APP Cardiac Surgery Fellowship is a 12-month program focusing on all aspects of medical and surgical patient management in cardiac surgery, including initial consults, pre-op workup, surgery, and post-op ICU and floor management. Emphasis is on operating and assisting during cardiac surgeries, especially saphenous vein harvest. Preferred prerequisites include shadowing with a Cardiac Surgery PA or ACNP and OR experience.
