Responsibilities
- Spend 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Under the direction of the Center Medical Directors or designated Staff Physicians, participate in managing medical treatment activities of the center and coordinating activities of the center with those of other centers.
- Responsible, along with the Center Leadership Team, for creating an environment of clear responsibility, authority, autonomy, and accountability that energizes and encourages staff to perform at their best.
- Mentor back-office staff to enhance their competencies through education and training, demonstrating patience and helping others succeed.
- Ensure support staff properly implements clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure documentation in the medical record is timely and reflects appropriate assessments and reassessments specific to patient needs.
- Meet regularly with the Regional Medical Director and/or Area/Associate Medical Director to discuss quality of patient care and review medical policies, procedures, records, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and accreditation standards.
- Participate in the hiring process for Center staff prior to extending offers of employment.
- Provide budgetary reports to ensure medical responsibilities are met by operations.
- Sponsor interdisciplinary collaboration through demonstrated leadership attributes, utilizing a team approach to enhance center results.
- Analyze reports, test findings, examination results, and diagnoses; prescribe or administer treatment; oversee maintenance of case histories and health reports.
- Develop, implement, and monitor medical surveillance protocols for client companies.
- Participate with the Therapy Director in orienting new center therapists.
- Facilitate a team approach of medical care between therapists and the Clinical Manager.
- Work with the Therapy Director and team to implement best practice patterns.
- Interact with outcome assurance to ensure efficient and appropriate case management by the medical staff.
- Review clinical effectiveness, occupational reports, and plans for clinic growth in leadership meetings.
- Meet with employers to discuss health and safety needs, conduct workplace assessments, and develop client relations.
- Communicate with employer representatives regarding initial injuries and status changes.
- Participate in developing and presenting educational programs to clients.
- Engage in new business development and respond to client needs and concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service, exceeding expectations as measured by NPER/NPS/TATs.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation and quality assurance.
- Deliver compassionate patient care in a busy environment, managing time effectively, and adapting to changing needs.
- Pursue ongoing clinical training and self-development to maintain high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and colleagues, demonstrating Orange Book values.
- Listen and respond to internal and external client needs.
- Contribute to center operations and hold self and others accountable for results.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program or passed the PANCE.
- Current licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of employment, with ongoing licensure compliance.
Experience & Skills
- At least two years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency settings.
- Core competencies include service mentality, attention to detail, urgency, initiative, and flexibility.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information per HIPAA and legal standards.
- Knowledge of occupational medicine, clinical operations, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and treatment skills for minor injuries and orthopedic cases.
- Strong analytical, instructional, and documentation skills.
