Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Norwich, CT is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality urgent care services. The role involves patient assessments, care planning, and performing essential procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have an active medical license, CS registration, ACLS/PALS certification, and at least 1 year of urgent care or emergency experience.

Qualifications

• State Medical License required.
• Controlled Substance Registration required.
• Certification as an Advanced Practitioner (PA) required or preferred.
• PALS and ACLS Certification required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care in urgent care settings.
• Perform hands-on procedures such as suturing, wound management, and minor emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with specialists and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

• A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is preferred.


• Candidates must possess a strong background in performing routine procedures, such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and treatment of orthopedic-related conditions.


• Relevant professional experience required; this position is best suited for candidates with prior experience in the field.
