Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation Healthcare seeks a physician to provide comprehensive medical care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients. The role includes expert clinical duties, education, and administrative responsibilities within TONHC facilities in the service area.

The position may be located at TONHC Sells Hospital or any TONHC health center, with independence in patient care under supervision of Clinical Director. Compliance with HIPAA and tribal guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from US/Canada or equivalent with ECFMG certification.
• Completed internship and a full medical license.
• 1–2 years post-internship or 3–4 years residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency medical care.
• Direct and coordinate treatment plans and referrals.
• (manage) medical records and documentation in clinical system.
• Deliver infants in urgent/emergent circumstances and arrange postpartum care.
• Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary care.
