Job summary

The Tohono O’odham Nation Health Care (TONHC) seeks an experienced nurse leader to manage ambulatory care services at Sells and affiliated centers. The role leads nursing staff, develops policies, and ensures HIPAA and quality care across the ambulatory program.

The incumbent oversees budgeting, workforce planning, training, and performance improvement while coordinating with tribal partners to strengthen nursing services and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • BSN or higher degree in nursing; eligible for licensure in applicable state.
  • One year ambulatory care experience in a clinical setting or urgent care setting.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Active, current, and unrestricted nursing license in the U.S.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

  • General managerial duties: plan, organize, direct, and evaluate ambulatory care programs.
  • Establish and implement long- and short-term policies for ambulatory and nursing care.
  • Monitor and report on nursing program plans and outcomes.
  • Ensure HIPAA, Privacy Act, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain budgets covering ambulatory care, personnel, equipment, and training.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to meet organizational goals and standards.
