Job summary

OakBend Medical Center in Sugar Land, TX, is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to assist therapists, support supervised patient treatments, and maintain a clean, orderly PT department. A high school diploma or GED is required; graduation from a technical program is preferred. Prior PT clinic experience is preferred; BLS certification through AHA or equivalent is required; candidates must be able to treat patients from pediatric to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Physical Therapy clinic is preferred.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist under direct supervision of a Physical Therapist in patient treatments.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Technician the person will be utilized in supervised patient treatments and in maintaining the PT department in a clean and orderly manner.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. Graduation from a technical program preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in Physical Therapy clinic preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care. Successful completion department specific and/or hospital required training courses. Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
