Job summary

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in Southold, NY, is seeking an Office Manager for the Physical Therapy department. The role oversees phones, typing reports including MD eval/progress notes, patient records, and supports the Director with billing, scheduling, credentialing, payroll and insurance authorizations.

You will ensure confidentiality, assist with patient registrations, accounts payable/receivable, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to operate computer/fax/copier.
• Current BLS AED provider certification from the American Heart Association. Must be American Heart with Skills Portion done in Person

Responsibilities

• Plans and works within established budget; implements cost saving procedures.
• Projects revenues as basis of budget, visits, evaluations, fitness renewals.
• Manages equipment purchasing and maintenance.
• Maintains ethical relationships.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental rules and regulations.
