Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis. The PTA will provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, delivering modalities and treatments per the plan to help patients reach the highest level of physical independence.

Responsibilities include executing prescribed therapies for all age groups, ensuring compliance with hospital policy and safety standards, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• No experience required.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia or compact privileges upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy modalities and treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Deliver therapy as determined by the treatment plan to help patients reach maximum independence.

The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy for all age groups, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. Responsible for providing physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by the physical therapist to enable the patient to reach the highest level of physical independence.
