Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full-time, on-site role. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy across all age groups, applying treatments and equipment per the plan to help patients achieve maximum independence.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in PTA, GA PTA license or current compact privileges, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an approved PTA program is required.
• No experience required.
• Georgia PTA license or current compact privileges in Georgia required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• The PTA, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy for all ages, demonstrating competency with treatments and equipment.
• Delivers physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures to enable the patient to reach the highest level of physical independence, according to the treatment plan.

Responsible for providing physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by the physical therapist to enable the patient to reach the highest level of physical independence.
