Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join MHPT @ Irving Street Neuro. The PTA will provide therapy services, work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, and document patient care according to state requirements.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, licensure in Maryland/DC/VA as applicable, and AHA BLS CPR certification. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to deliver compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Maryland, DC and/or VA licensure as required for the location.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for patient care activities under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Manages an accurate schedule and supports efficient patient access to care.
• Completes discharge planning and coordinates equipment needs with supervising PT.
• Provides patient treatment services including preparation, modalities, and education under supervision.
• Keeps progress reports and participates in treatment plan updates with the team.
