Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join MHPT @ Irving Street Neuro in Maryland. You will perform PT services under the supervision of a licensed PT, contributing to patient care, treatment planning, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited PTA program, an associate degree, and licensure for your location (MD/DC/VA). BLS CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Maryland, DC, or VA licensure as required for location.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for patient care activities under supervision of licensed PT.
• Maintain an accurate schedule and meet productivity expectations.
• Arrange re-evaluations and discharge summaries with supervising PT.
• Provide treatment services including modalities within the treatment plan under supervision.
• Involve patient and family in treatment and discharge planning through education.
• Serve as a clinical instructor to assigned students when appropriate.
