MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join MHPT @ Irving Street Neuro. The PTA will deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, including treatment, training, and equipment recommendations, across Maryland/DC/VA locations as required.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program, an associate degree, and state licensure as applicable, plus BLS for healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• State licensure in MD, DC, or VA as required by location.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Documents patient care activities and communicates with the supervising physical therapist.
• Manage scheduling, re-evaluations, and discharge planning with guidance from the supervising PT.
• Provide patient treatment services, including modalities and interventions per the treatment plan.
• Collaborate with the care team to support an interdisciplinary approach and adjust plans as needed.
