Job summary

Responsibilities include documenting care, coordinating schedules, and assisting in discharge planning. Licensure in MD/DC/VA and BLS CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school.
• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your location.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for patient care activities under supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Manages schedule, maintains productivity, and coordinates re-evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Completes discharge planning and equipment needs in collaboration with supervising therapist.
• Provides patient treatment services within the plan under supervision and collaborates with the team.
• Documents patient progress and participates in continuing education and clinical instruction as appropriate.
