Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, unrestricted license in Ohio as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Educational requirements for licensure must be met in accordance with state rules.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment preferred.
• Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations and long-term care guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Record resident progress and request reexaminations when needed.
• Implement treatment plans per APTA guidelines and state laws.
• Document services in resident medical records and for billing purposes.
• Coordinate therapy sessions with nursing staff and rehabilitation director.
• Ensure equipment is stored, sanitized and used safely.
