Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to work under a licensed therapist. The role involves administering PT treatments, performing measurements, documenting care, and educating patients and families within Kansas law.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, handle clerical duties as needed, and participate in continuous improvement activities. The position is on-site with first shift daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Experience providing healthcare.
• PTA licensure with KSBHA and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers PT treatments under a licensed PT's plan of care within scope of practice.
• Performs measurements and standardized testing per hospital guidelines.
• Documents treatments and inputs charges following Medicare and other rules.
• Educates patients, families and staff on rehabilitation and wellness.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary staff to integrate PT with patient care.
• Monitors rehab techs and PTA students; completes competencies.
• Performs clerical duties and participates in committees as assigned.
