Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting for a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work at Rochester Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Rochester, New York. You will assist in implementing the plan of care and support residents with rehab activities in a state-of-the-art rehab gym.

New grads are welcome. NY PTA license is required. Flexible schedules, mentorship, weekly pay, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising PT.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document on residents as needed.
• Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
