Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. You will follow the plan of care created by the supervising physical therapist and contribute to a high standard of resident care.

This role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, mentorship, and access to advanced rehab technology in a state-of-the-art facility. NY license is required, and graduation from an accredited PTA program is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with various techniques, like stretching and massage, and assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contributes to team effort.
