Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at Slate Valley Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Granville, NY. This role supports resident rehabilitation under supervision.

Collaborate with the PT and therapy team to implement the plan of care, assist residents with daily activities, and document progress. We offer mentorship, weekly pay, flexible schedules, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document on residents as needed.
• Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
