Job summary

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility setting. This per diem (PRN) position works under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and support the rehab team.

The ideal candidate holds a valid PTA license and brings strong observation and communication skills, with compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice physical therapy.
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement patient programs.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
