Majestic Care is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to support high-quality rehabilitative care under a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote independence in residents within a geriatric setting.

Responsibilities include delivering interventions, assisting with exercises and gait training, documenting progress, and educating residents and families under PT direction.

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program and current state licensure are required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation standards is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as outlined in the supervising PT's plan.
• Assist residents with exercises, gait training, and functional mobility.
• Monitor resident responses during treatment and report progress or concerns.
• Support education for residents and families under the PT's direction.
• Maintain a safe, supportive therapy environment and engage residents.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and observations.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain therapy equipment and supplies promptly.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans that improve residents’ mobility, reduce pain, enhance strength, and restore physical function. The PTA collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure consistent, resident-centered therapy. A strong foundation in geriatric rehabilitation, clinical precision, and a compassionate approach are essential to support optimal outcomes and promote residents’ independence and quality of life

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support and Treatment Implementation

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities to improve strength, balance, and independence.
• Monitor resident responses during treatment sessions and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Support resident and family education under the direction of the Physical Therapist to

promote safe and effective carryover of therapy strategies.

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment that encourages resident participation and comfort.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.

Documentation and Compliance

• Accurately document treatment sessions, resident performance, and observations in

• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols to ensure compliance and resident safety.

Collaboration and Operational Support

• Maintain open communication with the supervising Physical Therapist, interdisciplinary care team, and resident care staff to support continuity of care.

• Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly to ensure a safe and efficient therapy environment

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation standards is a plus
