Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support home health patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PRN position requires travel between patient homes to carry out prescribed therapy plans and monitor progress.

The PTA will educate patients and families on exercises, assist with mobility treatments, and document outcomes while coordinating with the care team. A licensed PTA with geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate PT Aide program completed and accredited.
• Strong communication and observation skills demonstrated.
• Experience working with geriatric patients preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out therapy plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to PT and care team.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and care plans.
• Support use of equipment (wheelchairs, braces, etc.).
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides services under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and maintain performance in a home health setting.

• Carry out therapy plans developed by the Physical Therapist
• Assist with treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to PT and care team
• Educate patients and families on exercises and care plans
• Support use of equipment (wheelchairs, braces, etc.)
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team as needed

Qualifications
